ADDITIONAL APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS
Students interested in applying for the internship are required to submit forms and information in addition to the AAPI application. We are participating in the online AAPI process, and are accepting these materials electronically, as supplemental materials you can upload with your application. These materials may be found on the website, via the link below:

Internship application packet for 2012-2013

Interns may apply to any or all tracks. Be sure to indicate on the application materials the track(s) in which you have an interest.

Please note: If invited, an interview is required to be considered for the program.

If you are matched with UMDNJ-Newark, the University will conduct a criminal background check at no cost to you. To do so, we will give our Human Resources department your identifying information. While employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, a criminal conviction does not automatically prohibit employment. Eligibility for employment will be determined by the administration of University Behavioral and Correctional HealthCare in consultation with UMDNJ Human Resources. Applicants who match to our program but do not successfully pass this background check will not be employed as pre-doctoral interns (APPIC Match policy 6b states, "Appointments of applicants to internship positions may be contingent upon the applicants satisfying certain eligibility requirements. Such eligibility requirements must be clearly specified in the internship programs' written materials and provided to applicants in advance of the deadline for submitting rankings for the APPIC Match.")
